Winnie Catherine Thornhill

Funeral services for Winnie Catherine Thornhill 91, Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home. Catherine was born December 14, 1922 in Quitman to Arthur and Rosa Harbin Harris and passed away February 21, 2014 in Tyler. She was a nurse's aide at the Heritage Nursing Home, Quitman and a Methodist.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Thornhill in 1998 and a son, James Thornhill, Jr.
Catherine is survived by 2 sons, Robert Thornhill, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jerry Thornhill, Quitman; 1 daughter, Sue Thornhill, Wolfe City; 1 sister, Marie Swann, Quitman; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
