William "Bill" Crawford Bolt II, 68, of Quitman, passed away on June 30, 2026.

Bill was born on February 11, 1958, in Duncanville, Texas, to A.J. Bolt Sr. and Dortha Nell (Kemp) Bolt.

Bill moved to Quitman in the 1980s and made many lasting friendships throughout the community. He was a proud member of the Yantis Masonic Lodge. He worked in maintenance for Glory Express Puppies in Mineola, where he was known for his willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed. Earlier in life, Bill worked as a chef at the Reunion Tower in Dallas and later as a bouncer at Neon Moon in Yantis.

Bill never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether sharing stories, laughing together, or simply enjoying each other's company. He loved fishing for bass and catfish, traveling, and making trips to the coast whenever he had the chance. Some of his favorite memories were made scuba diving in Mexico with his brother. During the Christmas season, Bill especially enjoyed portraying Santa Claus, bringing smiles and excitement to children and families alike. Bill also made the best omelets!

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, A.J. Bolt Sr. and Dortha Bolt; sister, Rebecca Bolt; brother, Dale Bolt Sr.; nephew, A.J. Bolt II; niece, Dyona Bolt; great niece, Helen Mathis; and two great-nephews, Dylan Mathis and Justin Pugh.

Left to cherish his memory is his niece, Kari Bolt of Corpus Christi; great niece, Aryn Leighton; three great nephews, Michael Leighton, Ernest J. Bolt, and Dale Bolt II; uncle, Gerald Kemp; cousin, Tammy Kemp Peters; and best friends, Dewey Maroney of Grand Salone and Kim “Bigfoot” Jackson-White.
