Funeral services for Wanda Maria Sessions, 79 Quitman, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday December 10, 2015 Muddy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Williams and Dr. Charles Brewster officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday evening December 9th, Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.
Wanda was born August 24, 1936 in Mineola to the late Rufus and Frances Bradley McDowell. She was the third child out of six girls. She graduated in the top of her class from Mineola McFarland High School in 1955. Wanda worked as a housekeeper, stay at home mom and at Lee's Sewing Mfg. and the Heritage. She and her husband owned Session's Dairy Farm from 1969 until 1991. Wanda was a 4-H leader and Cub Scout Mom and also Cub Scout Grandmother Leader.
She is survived by her husband, A.G. Sessions, Jr; 2 daughters, Janice Maria and Yvoanda Renee; 2 sons, Irving Wendon (deceased) and A.G. Sessions III and 4 sisters, Emma McCalla, Faye McCann, Lola Clemons and Della Livingston. Wanda is also survived by her grandchildren, Charles, La'Dawn, Kenzie, Arlena, Branden and Brayden, and her great grandchildren, Trevyon, Alley and Zaila.
