Wanda Ruth Fletcher

Wanda Ruth Fletcher, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Quitman, Texas.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, at 2:00 PM in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Brother Lewis Roach officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service beginning at 1:00 PM. 

Wanda was born on August 9, 1935, to E.A. Roach and Ollie Roach in Stout Community, Wood County, Texas.  Wanda was a member of Pleasant Divide Baptist Church in Yantis, Texas.  She was a homemaker most of her life and loved her family dearly.  She loved her gardening, manicuring her yard and flowers.  She definitely had the Green Thumb of the family.  Always canning fresh vegetables and trying new recipes.  She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Tommy Lee Harrison; her husband George A. Harrison and Jimmy L. Fletcher; her son, Arlen L. Harrison; her brothers, D.R. Roach, Goodman Roach, Whalen Roach, and James Roach; sisters, Viola Lloyd, Bonnie Canaday, Lillie Glasscock, Inez Holt, Helen Roach, and Elsie Love.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Brenda Stone of Quitman, Sonja Johnson of Alba; brother, Lloyd Roach and his wife Bobbie of Quitman; Granddaughters, Wendy Steck of Lindale, Angie Walker of Como, and Tiffany Harrison of Tyler; Grandsons, Russell and Wesley Stone of Larue, Chett and Brett Harrison of Dallas, and Jason Crump of Killeen; 12-Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, including Georgie Lou Deuson that Wanda considered her baby sister and best friend.

Honorary pallbearers are Russell Stone, Wes Stone, Brett Harrison, Chett Harrison, David Henes, Brennon Steck, and Dillon Steck.
