W. C. Jackson, Jr.

Funeral Services for W. C. (Dub) Jackson, Jr. are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church Quitman with the Drs. J. C. Mitchell and Jack Terry, Reverends Raymond Duncan and James Nickell and Brother Fred Morrow. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, Tx. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday evening July 2nd at the funeral home.

Dub was born January 28, 1920 to Willie and Ethel Jackson, Sr. in Quitman. He married Willie (Bill)
Holland on August 3, 1945. They were blessed with 3 children, David M. Jackson,Hideaway, Tx., Jennifer J. Smithson, Tyler, Tx.,
and Holley J. Walsh, Waco. .

Dub owned and headed Jackson Motor Company in Quitman until his retirement in l988. He was involed in a wide range of activities and organizations in Quitman Champer of Commerce, Quitman School Board, Quitman Rotary Club and the Masons. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Quitman and his activities included Sunday school teacher, Superintendent of Suday Schools, deacon for 61 years and leader of various church committees.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren and his sweet, loving, and loyal little Yorkshire terrier, Mr. Jingles.

Memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Suffolk, VA. This money will be used to complete the Dub Jackson House of Prayer in Chernobyl, Russia. Please mail your donation to Dr. J. C. Mitchell, 1557 S.E. 80th St., Ocala, Florida, 34480.
