Rene Blesdoe

Rene Bledsoe of Yantis, Texas passed away on July 12, 2023, at home.

Rene was born on November 6, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She later went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as an emergency room nurse in the early part of her career. Later she advanced to become a floor supervisor. Towards the end of her career, she worked in home health. Rene was a long-time resident of Yantis, Texas, who had previously lived in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She attended the Christian Church for many years and always had a positive outlook on life no matter what. Rene enjoyed many activities, including catfishing, gardening, collecting family photos, and Lake Fork Life.

Rene is survived by her husband, Thomas Ray Bledsoe of Yantis, Texas; her children Bill Whitman and his wife Krista of Joint Base Andrews, Maryland; Steve Glenn of Quitman, Texas; four grandchildren, Brendan, A.J., Keri, and Traci; sister-in-law Claudia Stallard; nephews, Tom Stallard and Tim Stallard.

Rene was preceded in death by her parents, John Charles Stallard and Shirley Elwanda Hazlip Stallard; her daughter Ginger Rene McCarty; and her brother Ron Stallard.

 A memorial service for Rene will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations.
