Virgil D. Yarger

Virgil D. Yarger, 94, of Winona, passed away in Tyler, Texas on Monday, December 21, 2020. 

Virgil was born on December 27, 1925 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Wayne Yarger and Edna Mitchell Yarger.  He had two brothers and three sisters.  Virgil served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He was deployed to the South Pacific and served on the Destroyer Escort #420, USS Leland E. Thomas.  He received several medals for his service.  Virgil was retired from AT&T Communications Company. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Edna Yarger, Brothers; David Yarger and John Yarger; and Sister, June Fahenstock.

He is survived by his Sisters; Margaret Wrightsman and Gwenda Reid and by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
