Funeral services for Verline Mildred Griffin, 82, Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2013, Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Quitman. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening, Dec. 5th at the funeral home. She was born August 27, 1931 in Paragould, AR. to Henry and Dora Pry Shipman.She was a Optician and a Baptist.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Barton; her husband, G. W. Griffin, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister. She is survived by husband Amos Foster, Quitman, 1 son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kathy Thurman, Quitman; 1 daughter, Karen Griffin, Rockwall; 2 Brothers, Henry Shipman, Jr., Lawton,OK and L. D. Shipman, Hoopeston, IL.; 2 Sisters, Louise Atkinson, Clarkrange, TN. and Darlene Mayberry, Westville, IL; 3 grandsons and 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
