Veraland Jearl Cooksey

Veraland Jearl “V.J.” Cooksey, 85, of Terrell, TX was born July 17, 1932, died peacefully at home of natural causes on April 13, 2018. He was born in Alba, TX to James and Vivia Carter Cooksey.

Veraland worked for F & M Systems in Communications Wiring for many years. He was also a self-employed A/C and Electrical Technician.

He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, by his wife, Euna Jean Nolley Cooksey, and siblings: CH Stinett, Garland Cooksey, FayNell, Onentha Gardner, Mozelle Knight, J.F. Cooksey, Raydell, and Naiomi and Granddaughter, Brittany Cooksey.

Left to cherish his memory are his Children, Kenneth Cooksey, Jimmy Cooksey, Donna Cooksey, Niece, Laverne Seymour, Sister Doris Danks; Grandchildren, Kasey Wylesky and husband Timothy, Kody Cooksey, Hannah Dellos and husband Tony, Kristi Cooksey, and Kelly Richards. He has 11 great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 2 P.M., Monday, April 16, 2018 at Yantis City Cemetery.
