Funeral services for Theresa Jan Matheson Harbuck, 77, of Quitman, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, February 29, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel in Quitman with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at the Quitman City Cemetery, under the direction of Lowe Funeral Home Quitman. The family will receive friends before the service on Monday at 10:00 AM. Mrs. Harbuck died February 27, 2016 in Quitman.
Theresa was born January 23, 1939 in Quitman, TX to Monroe P. Matheson and Eula Ellison Matheson. She married Herman Harbuck April 6, 1958. A graduate of Quitman High School, she lived her entire life in Quitman, TX. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a Postal Clerk and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Quitman. Theresa was also active with Crafty Christians and was a March of Dimes Coordinator.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Harbuck of Quitman; son, Tom D. Harbuck of Dallas, TX; daughter, Terri Wink and her husband Kevin of Katy, TX; brother, Jon Dee Matheson of Anahuac, TX; 3 sisters, Virgie Collins of Emory, TX, Evelyn Browning of Garland, TX and Corinne Tinney of Winnsboro, TX; grandsons, Todd Wink and wife Keely of Katy, TX and Kobie Wink and wife Imma of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren Korbin Wink and Addison Wink of Katy, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Weems, Preston Bridges, R.T. Bridges, Homer Turner, Jack Robinson and James Noe. Honorary pallbearers will be both grandsons Todd Wink and Kobie Wink, Doyle Nelson, Richard Harbuck, Russell Nelson, Mike Zachary, Tim Jackson, Mike Miller and Chad Harbuck.
