Graveside service for Stanley Dewaine McDonald, 70, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Sharp Cemetery in Yantis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Lowe Funeral Home.

Stanley passed away in Lytle, Texas on July 14, 2015 from complications due to congestive heart failure.

Stanley was born on August 5, 1944 in Lindale, Texas. His family moved to San Antonio in 1955, where he later attended Burbank High School and was an active member of the FFA. He worked with his family in the car business for over 40 years, and also demonstrated a talent for developing diverse business ventures.

Stanley was full of life and joy, with a great love of the Lord and a personality bigger than Texas. He never met a stranger, loved horses, was active in charity work, and was famous for his jokes and story telling. He attended church regularly, and his family takes comfort in the fact that he knew the Lord.

Stanley was preceded in death by his father Charlie McDonald, and his brothers Robbie Douglas and Charles Ray McDonald. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy Jean Pride McDonald, sons Michael Dewaine and Patrick Daniel McDonald, mother Dorothy McDonald, and sister Judy McDonald Blalack." and a special little girl for the last 10 years of his life Lani Rivera.
