Sheila Marie Harper, age 62, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Longview.  She was born in Quitman, Texas, to Will and Helen Harper and had been a lifetime resident of the Quitman area.

Sheila attended elementary school in Quitman and then attended Greenville High School in Greenville, Texas.  She later attended Job Corp in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where she earned a Nursing Aide Certificate.  At an early age, Sheila accepted Christ and was a member of Brocks Chapel United Methodist Church in Quitman.

Sheila loved to dress up.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles, music, dancing, fishing and horseback riding.  She loved animals, especially puppies and horses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Harper, Jr., and Helen Ruth Harper, and her sister, Hattie Ruth Davis.

Sheila is survived by her sister Mary Carter of Compton, California, and brothers, Paul Harper of Quitman, Robert Ivery of Tyler and Terrance Harper of Tyler.

She leaves to mourn her memory, her beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends and everyone that loved her.

Services for Ms. Harper will be held at Brocks Chapel United Methodist Church in Quitman December 11, 2023, at 11:00am.  Viewing will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.
