Seth Colin Kinsey, 40, passed away in a Tyler hospital on September 27, 2026. He was born on April 19, 1986, in Quitman, Texas, to Robert Troy Kinsey, Sr. and Deborah Clanton Blair. Seth was a member of the Baptist Faith and lived most of his life in Wood County.

Seth had a genuine love for automobiles and trucks. He drove a truck for most of his life and enjoyed attending car and truck shows whenever he could. His love for the automobile community took him on many adventures, and he would travel as far as 500 miles to attend a car show. For Seth, these events were about much more than the vehicles themselves—they were about the people, the memories, and the friendships he made along the way.

While Seth loved automobiles and trucks, his greatest love was his family. His son, Sawyer, was especially precious to him, and his nephew, Bryson Parish, held a special place in his heart and was like a son to him.

Seth also treasured his friendships deeply. His friends were an important part of his life, and those friendships meant the world to him. He was a loyal friend who cared about the people he called friends and stood by them through the years. Many of those friendships became more like family, and the memories they made together will be cherished for a lifetime. Seth had a way of making people feel that their friendship mattered, and the many friends who loved him will forever remember the loyalty, laughter, adventures, and good times they shared with him.

Seth was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harris J. “Doc” Clanton and Troy Kinsey; grandmothers, LaHoma Caldwell Clanton and Elizabeth Kinsey; uncle, Anthony Clanton; and cousin, Brian Clanton, and 2nd cousins, Kaden and Kylar Clanton.

Those left to cherish Seth’s memory are his father, Robert Kinsey, Sr.; mother, Deborah Clanton Blair; son, Sawyer Colin Kinsey; brother, Robert Troy Kinsey, Jr.; sisters, Allie Kate Caldwell and Chevie Morgan Blair; uncles, Harris D. Clanton and wife, Shirley, Gregg Clanton and wife, Lyddia, and Craig Clanton and wife, Connie, Kevin Clanton and wife Kara; nephew, Ruby Trent; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large circle of loyal and loving friends who were so important to Seth throughout his life.

A Funeral Service for Seth will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home Chapel. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home.

Seth will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His love for his family, his passion for trucks and automobiles, and especially the friendships he treasured so dearly will remain a lasting part of his memory.
