Funeral service for Sandra Hendricks, 73, of Quitman, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home with David Hendricks and Ed Rawls officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
Sandra Leah Hendricks was born March 17, 1945 in Neville, Ohio to Walter Allen Roehm and Gladys Hattie Bartlett. On August 24, 1962 she married the love of her life, John Hendricks, and in 2012 the two moved from Orange, Texas to Quitman. She was a member at Smyrna Baptist Church in Winnsboro.
Sandra was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her neighborhood and making cupcakes for the local police department and sheriffâs office. In her spare time, she loved to make dolls and sew.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and loved her family.
Sandra passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 4, 2018 in Quitman.
She is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, John Hendricks of Quitman; two sons, Steven Hendricks of Quitman and David Hendricks and wife Sabrina of Golden; daughter, Darlene Guy and husband Kenny of Orange; brothers, Irvin Leroy Roehm and wife Brandy of Victoria, and Jonathan Bartlett of Clarksville, Tennessee; sister, Rosalyne Hughes and husband Howard of Felicity, Ohio; six grandchildren, Rachel Bertrand and husband Michael, Brett Guy, Kayleigh Hendricks, Shannon Lee and husband Eric, Todd Hendricks, and Michael Hendricks; six great grandchildren, Kardyn, Brantlee, Braylon, Addison, Johnny, and Ethan; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Serving as pallbearers are Todd Hendricks, Michael Hendricks, Kenny Guy, Bruce Hendricks, Steven Hendricks, and Jonathan Bartlett.
