Ruby Nell Azlin

Funeral service for Ruby Nell Azlin, 86, of Winnsboro, is scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Pine Street Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Ethridge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Mrs. Azlin will be laid at Lee Cemetery following the service.

Ruby Nell Azlin was born November 9, 1932 in Energy, Texas to Otho and Susie (Smart) George. She married Harold Azlin in 1950. The two were married for 56 years at the time of his passing in 2006. In 1974 she moved to Winnsboro from Somerset, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Street Baptist Church. She loved to paint, crochet, and sew doll clothes. She enjoyed being outside and birdwatching.

Ruby passed away Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 in Winnsboro.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Otho and Susie George; husband, Harold Azlin; three sisters, Dora Laird, Roberta Bush, and Maebelle Thornton; granddaughter, Shannon Johnson; great grandson, Luke Lyons Neves; two great granddaughters, Mallory Hope Hibner and Ruby Claire Summerville; and good friend, Wanda Oliver.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Larry Azlin and wife Dena of Rosebud, TX, Danny Azlin and wife Joyce of Winnsboro, and Jerry Azlin of Winnsboro; 11 grandchildren, Susan Azlin, Tami Melton, Jana Summerville, Steven Neves, Rebekah Hibner, Rique Azlin, D’Anne Canaday, Chad Azlin, Melody Robertson, Trisha Azlin, and Jessica Samples; and 30 great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are Rique Azlin, Chad Azlin, Justin Canaday, Chris Robertson, Casey Samples, Steven Neves, Marc Hibner, Chad Summerville, Mike Melton, Preston Vasquez, Travelle McManus, Tim Quinn, and Philip Johnson.
