Rosemary Gilbreath, 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Quitman, Texas, on July 23, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1957, in Mineola, Texas, to Orval Ray Gilbreath and Dorothy Ann (Wilkinson) Gilbreath.

Rosemary spent the majority of her life in Wood County, where she was known for her kind heart and devotion to her family. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and stay-at-home mother, creating a home filled with love, comfort, and lasting memories.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially gathering around the table to work jigsaw puzzles or play card games. Solitaire, Phase 10, and Skip-Bo were among her favorites, and those moments of friendly competition and laughter became treasured family traditions.

More than anything, Rosemary loved her family. She treasured every opportunity to be together and was lovingly known as "Grandma Rosemary" to her grandchildren, a name she wore with great pride and affection.

Rosemary's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orval Ray and Dorothy Ann Gilbreath; her sister, Carolyn Worsham; and two brothers, Ray Gilbreath and James Gilbreath.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Ernest Cagle and wife Elizabeth of Lake Jackson, TX; and Roy Cagle of Mineola, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Khoury of Angleton, TX; brother, Tommy Gilbreath of Quitman, TX; two grandchildren, Maddison and Justin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Rosemary will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations.
