Ron Largent

Funeral service for Ronnie "Ron" Lee Largent, 60, of Winnsboro are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church with Brother Rick Ellington and Macy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Lowe Funeral Home.

Ron was born February 7, 1956 in Mineola to Bennie and Mary Jo Largent and passed away March 10, 2016 at his home in Winnsboro. He lived most of his life in Wood County, retiring from Peoples Telephone after working as an Installer for 33 years. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church of Mineola.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mary Jo Largent.

Survivors include wife of 10 years, Sherma Largent of Winnsboro; two sons, Brandon Largent and wife Nicole of San Antonio, and Aaron Largent and wife Sara of Austin; one daughter, Lindsay Whittiker and husband Russell of Quitman; two brothers, Earnest Largent of Mineola and Steve Largent of Big Sandy; 6 grandchildren, and a large extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Williams, Bobby Thompson, Mike McQueen, Robbie Allen, Mike McDowell, and Jimmy Rogers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas or Texas Oncology.
