Patricia Ann Tutor

Patricia Tutor, 78, of Yantis, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, January 8, 2018.

Patricia Ann Tutor was born June 29, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan. She is the only daughter of William Archibald and Verna Mae (Outhwaite) Johnson.

In 1957 when she was just 18 years old, she met her one true love, Ralph Tutor. She was sitting outside eating an ice cream cone when he saw her and knew she was the one. They married shortly after on December 28, 1957 in Wyandotte, Michigan and were inseparable ever since.

After living in Germany for 6 years, they moved to El Paso. Patricia was an attendance clerk for Ysleta School District. In 2002 they moved to Yantis. She attended St. John’s Catholic Church in Emory.

Patricia loved to sew. She made many dresses for her daughter and loved to make children’s clothes.

Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Verna Johnson; one son, Michael W. Tutor; one nephew; and her brother, Robert Charles Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Ralph Tutor of Yantis; two sons, Mark Tutor of Yantis and Matthew Tutor and fiancé Belle of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Kimberly Smith and husband Joe of Quitman; four grandchildren, Timothy Ownbey, Crystal Mejia, Xandria Tutor, and Joshua Michael Tutor; three great grandchildren, Emma Ownbey, Leah Cardenas, and Santiago Mejia; and one nephew.

Memorial service for Patricia is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.
