Funeral services for Neva Grace Hammer, 89 Hawkins are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014, Holly Tree Chapel, Holly Lake Ranch, with Reverend Tim Mink officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Tree Cemetery.
Neva was born August 1, 1924 in Huron, SD to John and Alice Meyer Eckmann and passed away June 29, 2014 in Tyler. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She is survived by her husband Gil Hammer, Holly Lake Ranch; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in law, David Hammer, Mexico, Richard and Teresa Hammer, Paris, TX, Larry and Jere Hammer, Port Lavaca, TX; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Tim Blaylock, Emory, TX; brother, Ervin Eckmann, Huron, SD; 2 sisters, Edna Riley, Brookings, SD and Esther Gilchrist, Hichcock, SD; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no family visitation.
