Mary Ann Johnstone

Funeral services for Mary Ann Johnstone, 74, of Quitman, are scheduled for 2:00PM Monday, December 26, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Cody Mize and Michael Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Alba, TX. The family will receive friends at 12:30PM, prior to the service.

Mary Ann was born in Carrollton, MO on January 12, 1942 to Russell Edward and Mary Virginia (Cochran) LaBarge. She passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Tyler. She worked at Gateway Lanes in Mineola for over 20 years, loved bowling, fishing and camping and was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. She adored her grandchildren and never missed their sporting events.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe Johnstone and brother Bobby LaBarge.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jeff Carey and wife Pam of Quitman; Todd Carey of Quitman; 2 daughters, Annette Chaney and husband Bobby of Alba; Liz Wheeler and husband Mike of Quitman; 1 brother, Jimmy LaBarge of Gilmer; 2 sisters Linda Maxfield and Brenda Cope, both of Gilmer, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are grandsons and nephews: Bryce Walls, Casey Walls, Jarren Chaney, Dustin Wedeking, Robert Richardson and Brian Maxfield.
