Martha Mareda Perkins

Funeral services for Martha Perkins are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Brother Fred Morrow and Reverend James Nickell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Commerce, Tx. Family will receive friends Noon till 1:00 PM (service time) at Lowe Funeral Home.

Martha was born August 2, 1916 in Commerce, TX to James Robert and Tennie Woodruff Gentry. She passed away November 18, 2013 in Mexia, TX. She had lived in Quiman from l976-2008 and 3 years in Mexia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Quitman, a member of the Quitman Garden Club, Forest hill Quilting Club,and had worked many years with the First Baptist Church Nursery. She is preceded in death by her husband C. R. Perkins.

Martha is survived by 2 sons, James Lowell Perkins, Albuquerque, NM, Johnny Fred Perkins and wife Mary, Denton, Tx; 1 daughter, Glenda Walker, Teague, TX.; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter, Olivia Dyer.
