Marlene Gore

On Friday, July 24, 2020, Marlene Gore, dedicated wife, mother, and child of God left this earth for a glad reunion day.  Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hubert, son, Gary, her parents, Carl and Florence Essl, brother, Carl Ray Essl and sister Wilma Dean Oswalt. 

She is survived by her daughters, Pam, Tammy and her husband John; as well as, her loving grandchildren Luke, wife Ashley, Blake, Christopher, Megan, Amanda, husband Aaron, Jamie and her Husband Travis and Zach. Robert Essl is her only surviving brother. She loved each of her nieces and nephews and enjoyed family get-togethers. She has so many great grandchildren that you could not enter one room in her house and not find pictures of each of them proudly displayed.

She was born in Winnsboro, TX on April 14, 1939. She was baptized in 1954 at Coldwater Baptist Church.  Marlene married Hubert Gore at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church on June 22, 1957. She worked at Wood County Electric Company and retired in July 2000.  She was an active member in recent years of Faith Baptist Church in Quitman, Texas and Central Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date which will be open to friends and family.  Her last wishes were that people get together and talk about the fun, cherished and happy moments of their time while she was in our lives. She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
