Funeral services for Marie Ople Slater, 95, Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P M Monday, November 18, 2813 at the First United Methodist Church Quitman with Dr. Dick White officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to time of service. Marie was born October 20, 1918 in Coleman, MI to Glen David and Grace Etta Smith Doren. She was a Secretary for a CPA Firm and served in the U. S. Army WWII as a Technical Sergeant. She lived in Quitman since l973 moving from Ft. Worth, TX. Marie is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Quitman. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Slater and is survived by her sister Helen Clark, Coleman, MI.
