Funeral services for Mae Jelline Steed, 78, Sulphur Springs are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Gunter Assembly of God Church in Alba,TX with Brother Jim Herriage officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Mae was born May 3rd, 1936 in Yantis, TX to the late Henry and Cleo Newkirk Canaday and passed away on December 28, 2014 in Sulphur Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband; Ray Steed, parents; Henry and Cleo Canaday, 8 brothers and sisters and granddaughter;Tanya Diggs.

She is survived by 1 son Ronnie Steed and his wife Brenda, Alba and 3 daughters, Carolyn Kemp and husband Danny, Alba, Shirley Petillo and husband Danny, Golden and Jeletta Friddle and husband Gary, Sulphur Springs; one sister, Odeen Walker of Mississippi; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She attended Baylor Nursing School and worked as a private care nurse.
Mrs. Steed was a member of Gunter Assembly of God Church.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 29th at Lowe Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
