Mabel T. Wells

Funeral services for Mabel Thomas Wells, 93, Quitman, are scheduled for Thursday July 3, 2014, 10:30 A.M. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Quitman with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening July 2, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Lowe Funeral Home.

Mabel was born December 25, 1920 in Athens, Texas and passed away June 30, 2014 at her residence in Quitman. She married Johnie
(J W) Wells July 15, 1939 and they were married 54 years. They moved to Quitman in 1958 and purchased the land to develop Clear Lakes and Wells Land and Cattle Company. She was a 50+ year member of The Order of Eastern Star.

Mabel is preceded in death by her husband J W Wells, son J C Wells
and 5 brothers. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ara Wells, Quitman; granddaughter and husband Lisa and Don Rockhill, Quitman and grandson, James Franklin and friend Cindy Reid, Quitman; 5 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
