Lorena "Pete" Boyd

Graveside services for Lorena "Pete" Boyd are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, Oct. 7,2011 at the Quitman City Cemetery with Jim Hallonquist officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hr. prior to service time at the funeral home.

"Pete" as she was known was born March 12, 1915 to Laurent William and Genie Tillery Hallonquist in Perryville, Texas. She was a homemaker and was known for her beautiful quilts and quilting. She loved being with her Forever Young friends each week. She is preceded by her parents; her husband, John Dalwin Boyd in l983 and 1 Son, John D. Boyd, in 2004.

She is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law: Helen Davis and James, Quitman, Tx. 1 Sister, Edna Crofford, Winnsboro, Tx.
3 Grandchildren; Barry Boyd, College Station, Kristi Hirsch, Quitman, Texas and Adena Truett, Dallas, Tx., 3 Step-grandchldren, David Davis, Billy Davis and Tammy Davis; 12 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
