Linda Kaye Elles

Linda Elles, of Quitman, passed away August 20, 2021 in Tyler, at the age of 73.

Linda Kaye Elles was born in Wood County on September 5, 1947 to Carson Bryan and Lorene (Marshall) Cornelius. She lived in Quitman most of her life and worked as a hairdresser at the Heritage Nursing Home and Wesley House Assisted Living for many years.

Linda loved her family unconditionally. She always wanted the best for everyone and never asked for anything in return. Linda couldn’t start her day without a good cup of coffee in the morning, and loved her fuzzy socks and corn nuts. She enjoyed the simpler things in life.

Linda is now pain free and laughing and dancing in the sky. In Heaven, she greets her parents, Bryan and Lorene Cornelius; one son, Anthony Dale Elles; and sister, Gailya Turner.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Scott Ransom of Quitman; grandchildren, Gus Ransom of Dallas and Savannah Stanberry of Dallas; nieces, Mindi Turner of Winnsboro and Misti Nichols of Quitman; nephew, Michael Turner of Quitman; and many extended family members and friends.

Linda will be laid to rest with her son, Tony Elles, at Ebenezer Cemetery.
