Funeral services for Kennith Gerald Hurley 87 Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 25, 2014, First United Methodist Church Quitman with Rev. Bill Hedges officiating. Burial will follow in Yantis City Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening August 24th, Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.

Ken was born October 18, 1926 to Carl and IV Smith Hurley in Yantis. He graduated from Yantis High School, served in the United
States Army, 1945-46, Korean War. He had a successful thirty two year career with Aetna Life & Casualty, retiring as Regional Claim Manager. He loved country life and cattle ranching, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his home, family, friends and living in Quitman until the end of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna Mae Jungbecker Hurley, 2 daughters, Carolyn Hurley, Quitman, Marilyn Lambert and son-in-law Lonnie, Garland; two grandsons, Adam Lambert and wife Katie, Houston, Ryan Lambert and wife Holly, Houston, 2 brothers, Phil Hurley, Hawkins and Marcus Hurley and wife Donna Hurley, Frisco, Sister-in-law Elvera Huff, Longview. Also by nephews, Scott Hurley, Preston Huff, Clifford Huff, and nieces Rhonda, Sherri, and April Hurley and Lisa White Kelly.
