Kenneth D. Dobbs

Funeral services for Kenneth D. Dobbs 78 Mineola are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday Sept. 18, 2014, Holly Brook Baptist Church, Holly Lake Ranch, TX with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening Sept. 17th at Lowe Funeral Home Quitman.

Kenneth was born February 13, 1936 in Wood County to DeWitt and Leora Furrh Dobbs. He was owner of an Office Equipment Company. Kenneth was a former member of the Tyler Jaycees and Tyler Kiwanas, a member of the Smith County Baptist Association, First Baptist Lindale Mission Board and Church Planter, member of Holly Brook Baptist Church and an avid bowler. He is preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Sue Hunt and a brother, Garth Dobbs.
He is survived by his wife June Dobbs, Mineola; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Marcus Dobbs and Kimberly, and Barry Dobbs and wife Carla all of Mineola; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Allison Utley and Wendell, Mineola and Sarah Suess and Barry, Tyler; 1 brother, Byron Dobbs, Terrell; 2 sisters, Wanda Williams, Mineola and Rita O'Hara, Lee Summitt, MO; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Those serving as Pallbearers include Timothy Dobbs, Connor Dobbs, Justin Utley, Caleb Utley, Daniel Utley and Gayland Clark. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be James Murray.
