Katherine "Katie" Elizabeth Gorman

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine "Katie" Gorman, 80 of Lands End, Yantis, Tx. are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Sunday, January 20th, Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Father Efren Nano officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30 till service time. Burial will follow in the Quitman City Cemetery. Katie was born July 8, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN. to Jack B. and Stella Jablonski Tatum. She was a Realtor, a Loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Ok. City, OK.and the ASA Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame in Indiana. She also played in 2 Softball World Series. Katie was a silver medalist in Senior Olympics for Womens Basketball and was an avid Golfer and made her first hole in one at 80, on Hole 7 at Land's End and
is a Past President of the LGA Land's End. She was preceded by 1 Brother: Frank Tatum.

Katie is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Gorman, Yantis, TX.,1 Son and Daughter-in-law; Jay and Jan Gorman, Quitman, TX., 1 Daughter and Son-in-law; Karen Rutherford and Dave Gladney, Rockwall, TX.; 3 Sisters; Mae Haskins, Jackson, TN., Patty McDonald, Avon, IN., Loraine Tatum, Plainfield, IN, 4 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
