Karen Elaine West

Karen Elaine West, age 81, from Leesburg, Texas passed away on January 5^th, 2023 in Pittsburg, Texas.

Karen was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on March 13^th, 1941 to James Sprague and Pauline Suydam.

Karen worked as a legal secretary for the City of San Diego, California and retired in 1999.  She spent the first few years living and traveling full time in her RV with her three beloved dogs.  After several years, she settled down on the ranch of her daughter and son-in-law.

She spent the last years of her life rescuing and fostering dogs in need, helping to find many loving homes.  This was her life passion…

Karen leaves behind her daughter, Melissa, granddaughter, Kaitlyn and fiance Caylin, and her two great-granddaughters , Lacy and Rhaegan.  Also her son-in-law, John Amyx and her oldest daughter Kim and granddaughter, Ari.

She will be so missed  by all her girls….
