In Loving Memory of Karen Carroll
Karen Carroll, 61, of Emory, Texas went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Born the youngest of ten children, Karen grew up knowing the value of family, faith, and laughter. She was the beloved mother of three children and the proud grandmother of three precious grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and purpose.
Karen had a deep love for the beauty of God’s creation — she delighted in photographing nature’s wonders, tending to her garden filled with flowers, and watching the birds that visited her yard. Her days were often spent capturing the simple, beautiful moments that reflected her appreciation for the Lord’s handiwork.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Karen was never shy about sharing the goodness and grace of the Lord, and her words of encouragement and prayer blessed everyone around her. She truly lived out her faith, walking each day with gratitude, humility, and love.
She is survived by her three children, Amy Dornan, Kasey Davis and her husband Justin, and David Kissam and his wife Lindsey; her three grandchildren, Elijah Dornan, Dawson Kissam, and Lauren Kissam; as well as numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virginia Carroll, and siblings Frances Martin, James Carroll, Brenda Carroll, Timothy Carroll, and Richard Carroll.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on November 8 at 4pm at Seagoville Church of Christ. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and rejoice in the hope of eternal life that Karen cherished so deeply.
Her faith, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
