Joy Marie Harris

Funeral services for Joy Marie Harris, 84, Quitman are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Quitman with Dr. Dick White and Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Quitman City Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening, November 22nd at Lowe Funeral Home.
Joy was born April 10, 1929 in Wood County to Robert and Georgia Sheffield Turner. She passed away November 19, 2013 in Tyler.

Joy was a store clerk and retired from Safeway after 26 years. She was a member of the Methodist Women, a former member of the Quitman Pilot Club and a member of Wood County Democratic Party.
She is preceded in death by her husband Valton Harris on July 30, 2013 and 1 grandson, Brian C. Harris.
Joy is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law; Richard Harris and Jolyn, Como, TX, 2 Daughters;
Nancy Jadrych and husband Larry, The Woodlands, TX and Rosie Niebuhr, Hideaway, TX.; 1 Sister, Sarah Terry, Buffalo, Tx; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
