John Paul Meek

Funeral services for John Paul Meek 81, Quitman are scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012, 2:00 P.M. East Point Baptist Church in Wood County. Interment will follow in the Little Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM (one hour) prior to service time at East Point Baptist Church.

John was born May 15, 1931 in Wood County to John Austin and Eliza Adeline Meek. He was a retired USAF Fire Fighter, a member of East Point Baptist Church and a member of the Flora Masonic Lodge, Quitman. He is preceded by his wife Jean in 2001 and 1 son, John Meek.

John is survived by 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law, Richard and Linda Meek, Rowlette, Texas; 1 Brother, Robert Meek, Tyler, Texas and 1 Sister, Vertis Gordon, Terrell, Texas, 3 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
