Joe Cook

Memorial service for Joe Cook, 76, of Quitman, is scheduled for 6:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Spur On Ministries with Brother Mike Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service.

Joseph David Cook Jr. was born March 14, 1940 in Dallas to Joseph David Cook Sr. and Eula Mae Cook. He moved from Tyler to Quitman in 1978 and was a member of Spur On Ministries. Joe was a veteran of The United States Army, having served his country proudly in the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong fisherman and an all-around outdoorsman.

Joe went to be with the Lord Monday evening, October 31, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lory Cook.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kay Cook of Quitman; son, Chris Cook and wife Kristen of Austin; one sister; grandchildren, Trenton, Steven and wife Casey, Branden and wife Jacqueline, and Keely; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Davie, and Teagan.
