On December 27, 2025, Jimmie “Jim” Wisdom passed away at his home in Pine Mills Texas.

Born September 14, 1939, in Farmersville Texas. He was raised in Farmersville and the Wylie area then joined the Navy to become a nuclear tech on the USS Shark SSN-591. Before moving to Norfolk submarine base, he met and married his “Special Lady” Virginia “Jenny” Wisdom on August 21, 1964, in Dallas, Texas.

Jenny was born on December 17, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas at the army airfield where her father was stationed. She grew up in Amarillo and North Dallas. She was just finishing up her business school training when she met Jim at a friend’s house near Wylie, Texas. After their wedding, they moved to Norfolk, Virginia and Jenny lived on Base while Jim was on submarine duty. After the Navy, they moved to Dallas, Texas so Jim could finish his engineering degree at UT Arlington. Soon after that, they move to Lewisville, Texas to start their family. That family grew to three children: John, Jone and Jay. With three kids you need a bigger place. So, Jim bought some land in Little Elm, Texas and started building the family a place all by himself (with a little help at times). There they raised their family until the kids had grown up, and the city had encroached on all sides of their property. Jim had retired for his second time. First from Prescolite, an electrical manufacturing company and then from the department of defense as a quality engineer on missile defense systems. Jenny had retired from her position at Liberty Christian School in Denton, Texas. This gave them freedom to find a new place to call home.

They found a piece of land in Pine Mills, Texas, that made them feel at home in the country again and they set out to build Jenny’s dream home and that they did (Jim let the professionals take over this time). At that place in Pine Mills, they watch the deer and the trees grow and loved being together in the piney woods of east Texas until November 19, 2025, when Virginia “Jenny” Wisdom passed away at the heart hospital in Tyler, Texas, after battling a congenital heart condition for the 20 years. Jenny was Jim’s “Special Lady”, and his heart belonged to her, he longed to be with her. A month after she passed Jim went to be with his special lady again. Jim and Jenny loved their church and loved to help everyone around them. They will be missed by all who know them.
