Jerry Lynn Garrett

Funeral services for Jerry Lynn Garrett, 67 Mineola are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with the Reverends Wayne Sanmann and Ron Dyess officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday evening July 23rd at the funeral home.

Jerry was born Octobr 8, 1944 to Rev. James T. and Doris Bain Garrett. He retired as a computer programmer for the Department of Defense. He married Cecilia Dyess on September 3, l988. He was a deacon and Sunday School teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church, Medicine Park, OK. He was preceded in death by his father Reverend James T. Garrett.

He is survived by his mother Doris Garrett, Longview, Texas;
Wife: Cecilia Garrett, Mineola, Texas; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Jerry Jay and Billy Joe Barrett, Bullard, Texas; 1 Daughter and Son-In-Law: Penny Lynn and Mike Phillips, Tyler, Texas; Brother: James C. Garrett, Kingwood, Texas; Sister: Dianne Pope, Longview, Texas; 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
