Jannie Ruth Brister

Jannie Ruth Brister, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on August 12, 2020.  Jannie was born in Bogota, Texas on June 17, 1929 to George and Clarice Presley. She was married to William Murl Brister,  a World War II Veteran, in 1946.  She proudly worked in the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary for many years.  

Jannie is preceded in death by her husband and her parents, George Albert Presley and Clarice Ophelia Mullican Presley.  

She is survived by her sons Doug Brister and wife Janie, Don Brister and wife Brenda, and daughter Cindy Brister Kilpatrick and husband Alan. She was delighted to be the grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.   

She was an avid domino player, loved watching old Western movies, and listening to Elvis Presley on the radio.  She was a warm and caring person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
