Janet Gail Edwards

    Janet Gail Wall Edwards, 64, of Winnsboro, TX, died on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Born on Wednesday, May 30, 1956 in Mt. Pleasant, TX, she was the daughter of the late A.B. Wall and Billie (Suiter)Wall Cooper and husband John currently residing in Sulphur Springs, TX. Her husband, Roy Edwards, preceded her in death on May 15, 2020. They only spent five short months apart. They were united in marriage on April 23, 1983. Janet was an avid quilter and crocheter. She always had a project going to give to a grandbaby or friend. She also loved the outdoors. She loved to camp and ride four wheelers with her family.

 Also surviving are her children, Christina Voyles and husband Johnny of Winnsboro, Cody Edwards and wife Ashley of Winnsboro, Shannan Downes and husband Archie of Harrison, AR, and Sandy Underdown and husband Tony of Alpena, AR; 12 Grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Leah, Stephen, Jacob, Destinie, Brandon, Michael, Danielle, Allyson, Abbygail, and Camdyn; four great grandchildren; brothers, Brent Wall of Winnsboro and Jonathon Cooper of Sulphur Springs; mother-in-law Belle Edwards of Winnsboro; sisters-in-law, Barbara Long of Madisonville and Katherine Wall of Como; brothers-in-law, Johnny Edwards of Brashear, Ronnie Edwards of Yantis, James Edwards of Sulphur Springs, and John Edwards III of Winnsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daddy, her father-in-law John Edwards, JR., and her beloved grandparents Bill and Mattie Suiter.

The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman, on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 2:30 PM in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Bro. Nub Brown; pallbearers will be Shawn Edwards, John Edwards III, Nathan Cunningham, Jacob Voyles, David Wall, Westyn Wall, and Michael Voyles.
