James Henry Stanley

Funeral service for James Stanley, 77, of Hainesville, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, June 23, 2017 at Hainesville Baptist Church with Brothers Terry Davis and Holland Atchley officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

James Henry Stanley was born on April 22, 1940 in Pickton to James and Stella (Reynolds) Stanley. At the age of 10, his family moved to Mineola and he graduated from Mineola High School in 1958. He also lived in New Mexico and Colorado for a period of time before returning to Mineola. James and his wife, Lynda, attended Hainesville Baptist Church for 54 years. He retired from Tyler Pipe in 1995 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

James entered Heaven’s gates Wednesday morning, June 21, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Caleb Stanley; brother, Kenneth Stanley; and sister, Gloria Stanley Perry and husband E.F. Perry.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Lynda Stanley of Hainesville; two sons, James Keith Stanley of Buna and Richard Stanley and wife Martina of Hainesville; two daughters, Debbie Yarbrough and husband Danny, and Gayna Christian and husband Russell of Hainesville; one brother, Harold Stanley and wife Pam of Dallas; sister-in-law, Margaret Stanley of Hainesville; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers is Todd Overstreet, Scott Perry, Craig Perry, Chris Stanley, Pete Donohoe, James Dowdle, Jerry Scott, Frank Turner, Jim Osborn, Eugene Bates, and Bobby Riggs.
