James Dee Dopson , Sr.

Funeral services for James Dee Dopson, Sr., 66 Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 8, 2014, First United Methodist Church, Quitman with Dr. Dick White officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening August 7th at Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.

James was born August 2, 1948 in Quitman, Texas to James D. and Alta Mae Harbin Dopson and passed away August 5, 2014 in Quitman. He retired from Wood County Electric Co-op after 43 years of service. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church Quitman and had lived in Wood County most of his life.

James is survived by his wife Deborah Dopson,Quitman;1 son, Dr. James Dee Dopson, Jr. and wife Rachel, Quitman; 2 daughters, Carrie Branum, Tyler and Tammy Bollman, Heath; 2 sisters, Lois Jones and Frances Pinson both of Quitman; 6 grandchildren, Bailey, Harrison, Jackson, Claire, Erin and Thomas.
