James Robert (Bud) Scarbro, 80, of Quitman, returned to his heavenly home on November 4, 2021.
Bud was born on June 15, 1941, in Ft. Worth to parents James Clayton and Anna Mae (Spears) Scarbro. He grew up on the north side of Ft. Worth. Bud married the love of his life Linda Moody on June 19, 1979, in Las Vegas Nevada. He’s been a resident of the Quitman area since 1995. Bud loved to golf and was a former member of the Holly Lake Men’s Golf Club, he also loved to fish. Him and Linda used to fish lots of bass tournaments together. Bud loved to sing karaoke with his friends and was quite the prankster to all who knew him. His blue eyes sparkled whenever he smiled. He served proudly in the US Airforce from 1959-1962.
Bud is welcomed in heaven by his parents James Clayton and Anna Mae Scarbro; a daughter Lisbeth Sue Scarbro; and two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Scarbro of Quitman; sister Helen Thompson of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Ethan James Graves and Shalee Sue Deaver; and numerous other friends and family members who are going to miss him dearly.
Memorial Services for Bud will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Spur On Ministries with Brother Mike Fletcher Officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.
