James Stanton Rossie, Sr.

Graveside services for James Stanton Rossie, Sr., 74, Mineola, Texas are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba with Reverend Reggie Day officating. A reception will follow after the graveside at Enon Baptist Church, Alba. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening, April 4th at Lowe Funeral Home. James was born August 29, 1939 to Charles M. and Sierra Flora Sharpe Rossie. He retired from the LAFD as a Firefighter, he was a Baptist , a member of th Lodge #1233 Masonic, Tyler, and worked many years for the Tyler ISD.

James is preceded in death by his wife Tokey Rossie in 2010. He is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda and Alfredo Soto, Eupora, MS and Ashley and Trey Stephens, Como-Pickton; 1 son and daughter-in-law, James S. Rossie and Sharon, Austin, TX; 1 brother, Charles M Rossie, LA, CA; 1 sister, Lynn Horst, Huntsville, AL, 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces nephews and extended family.
