James Roy McClain

James Roy McClain, a hardworking carpenter and devoted family man, passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 62 in Quitman, Texas. Born on January 12, 1962, in Lubbock, Texas, James lived a life dedicated to his craft and loved ones.

James developed a passion for construction from an early age and pursued a career as a carpenter. His expert craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every project he undertook. James took great pride in his work and always went the extra mile to ensure his clients were satisfied.

In addition to his successful career, James also served his country with honor and dedication. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, putting his skills to use in service of his fellow citizens. James's military service was a testament to his bravery and selflessness.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, James will be remembered for his unwavering love and commitment to his family. He cherished his role as a husband to Rebecca Foster McClain and brought joy into their lives through their shared adventures and experiences. Their bond was built on a foundation of love, respect, and unwavering support.

James was also a loving father to Dusty McClain, who resides in Lindale; Christopher Foster, who resides in Plano; and a doting grandfather to Cid Foster. He found immense joy in spending time with them and played an integral role in their lives. James's guidance and wisdom will undoubtedly shape the future generations of the McClain family.

Furthermore, James had strong familial ties that extended beyond the immediate family circle. He was the beloved son of Alfred Lee McClain and Ozella Belyeu McClain.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother, John Andrew McClain.

James's presence will be deeply missed by his sister, Johnnie Davis from Quitman and stepsister, Lynn Trent from Mineola. His genuine kindness and caring nature touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
