James Thurman Brister

Funeral services for James Thurman (Jim) Brister, 61, Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, Quitman, with Reverend Ken Otwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery, on
the Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening, Oct. 2nd at the funeral home.

Jim was born March 18, 1951 in Denver, CO. to Thurman James Brister and Mary Presley. He was in the maintenance dept. of Peoples Telephone. He is preceded by his father, Thurman James Brister and a daughter, Misti Goodson. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Brister, Quitman, Tx., his wife, Glenda Brister, Quitman, Tx., 2 Sons; Shannon and Dana Brister, Gilmer and James Brister, Quitman, Tx.; 1 Brother, George Brister, Mansfield, Tx., 1 Sister; Ruth Stubblefield, Quitman, Tx., 5 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and extended family.
