Ida Bell Dempsey

Ida Bell Dempsey Quitman, passed away December 28, 2015 in Quitman at the age of 89. She was born June 29, 1926 in the county of Chautauqua, Kansas to Ray and Goldie Coon Swisher She was a homemaker and a member of the Frist Baptist Church Quitman. Ida loved to crochet and she loved her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Walt Messersmith in 2002.
Ida is married to Robert Dempsey of Quitman. She was blessed with 4 sons, Alfred Messersmith of Oregon, Ron Messersmith of Washington, Bob Messersmith of Kansas and Gary Messersmith, of Dallas; 1 sister, Minnie Gildhause of Kansas; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
