Helon Babb

Graveside services for George Helon Mitchell Babb are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday in Pleasant Grove Meorial Park located on FM 515 East of Coke in Wood County with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman prior to service.

Helon Babb was born February 16, 1922 in Quitman, Texas to the late George Washington Mitchell and Eddie Viola Stroud Mitchell and passed away December 7, 2015 in Winnsboro. She waa a homemaker and member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Helon loved to walk, she loved her garden and sitting in the porch swing on the deck. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William C. Babb in 1990, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by 1 son, William Babb of Como, 1 daughter, Marilyn Metzgar and husband Ken of Yantis and 1 brother, Leonard Mitchell, Dallas; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
