In Loving Memory of Grace L. Teer

Grace L. Teer, 89, passed away peacefully in Round Rock, Texas, on September 22, 2026.

Grace was born in Wood County, Texas, on July 7, 1937, to Gary Price and Evelyn Hurley Price. She married Ray Hill Teer, a member of the United States military, and together they embraced a life of travel and adventure as his career took them around the world, including Germany, where her son was born, and Turkey, where they lived for three years.

Grace had many talents and passions, but few things brought her greater joy than quilting and gardening. She was an accomplished quilter, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her talent and attention to detail. She was also an exceptional gardener with a gift for making almost anything grow, and her gardens reflected the patience, creativity, and care she brought to everything she did.

Grace was a loving wife and mother with a special love for animals, particularly stray cats, and a soft heart for those who needed a little extra care and compassion.

She was especially proud of her role in creating and developing the Computer Repair Program at Tyler Junior College, leaving a lasting contribution to the college and the students who benefited from it.

Grace treasured the friendships she made throughout her life, and her lifelong friendship with Faye Dozier, whom she considered a mentor, held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary Price and Evelyn Hurley Price; her brother, Sherman Price; her sister, Margaret Laskowski Price; and her stepson, Donald Teer.

Grace is survived by her son, Gary Teer; stepson, David Teer; bonus son, David Bristol; bonus daughter, Mona Rudd; grandson, Zach Teer; and two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Grace's memory to a local animal shelter (excluding PETA).

A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 30, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home in Quitman, Texas.

Grace will be remembered for her loving heart, her green thumb, her beautiful quilts, her love for animals, and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable life.
