Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes, Quitman with Revs. Pete Dugger and Louis Strehlow officiating. Burial will follow in Little Hope Cemetery, Wood County. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.

Lavell was born August 7, 1938 in Grand Saline to Henry Thomas and Thelma Horn Goebel. She moved to Quitman in 1961 and was a member of the Little Hope Baptist Church in Wood County. She is preceded in death by a son Danny Hallonquist in 2012. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Oland Hallonquist, Quitman; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan Hallonquist, Franklin Co., 1 daughter Reta Jean Hallonquist and Charles Carsner, Austin; 1 daughter-in-law, Karen Hallonquist, Quitman; 4 brothers, Arvis Goebel, Tilmon Goebel, Joel Goebel and Paul Goebel; 6 sisters; Louetta Golden, Patricia Prestidge, Anita Goebel, Deborah Brooks, Jeannie Howle and Barbara Rhodes; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandhcildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
