Glenda Fae Crook

Funeral service for Glenda Francis Fae Crook, 76, of Quitman, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Lowe Funeral Home with Bishop Wayne Crabb officiating. At the request of Glenda, there will be no graveside service, but she will be buried next to her loving husband at Little Hope Cemetery.

Glenda Francis Fae Stanley Crook (76) was born on December 15, 1940, in Dallas, Texas to Jacob Stanley and Florida Marie Keathley Stanley and she passed away on April 2, 2017. She married William ‘Bill’ Lewis Crook AKA Tom. Glenda spent her early adult life working as a cake decorator. She had many interests and passions in life which included oil painting, which she taught herself to do and sewing everything from quilts to repairing stuffed animals for her grandchildren. She loved going to the movies often and swimming in the horse trough swimming pool that her husband made her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She lived a very full life and enjoyed being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Glenda is preceded in death by her father Jacob Stanley; mother Florida Marie Keathley Stanley; husband William (Tom) Crook; and grandson Jacob (Jake) Smith Jr.

Glenda is survived by one brother, Robert Stanley; one sister, Rose Hughes and husband Chuck.

Glenda had five children, Deborah Cooper and husband Charlie of Big Sandy, Stanley Smith and wife Jana of Quitman, Stacy James and husband Jerry of Quitman, Jacob (Jack) Smith and wife Kyla of McCloud, and Michelle Marsh of Winnsboro.

Grandchildren include Wendy Wisenbaker and husband Allen, Gena von Reyn and husband Brad, Casey Ferguson and husband Andy, Becca Ledbetter, Raegan Whittington and husband Shane, Gaby VanHorn and husband Kevin, Brandi Box and husband Larry, Jessica Payne and husband Fred, Kelly Rawlings and husband John, Hunter Smith and wife Tiffany, Hailee Brinkley, Dynalee Creager, and Jared Cole.

Great-grandchildren include Blake, Neely, Brenley, Avery, Demi, Talan, Nene, Jace, Gunnar, Walker, Christian, Hayden, Austin, Tristyn, Freddy, Alexis, Eddy, Karmen and Sara, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
